Gabriella's Copper Toe Ring

This is a piece that people will grasp when they want something they forget they are wearing - until they look down and remember it’s on them. I created this piece for those who don’t want weight or emphasis, just copper against the skin, doing what copper does. The indentations on the surface are the imprints of the round-headed hammer, each placed by hand - lighter and more scattered than some of my heavier pieces, giving this piece a different quality of light when the sun shines on it.

Those who wear copper regularly tell me the same thing: they have stopped noticing what they previously had to feel in their joints and feet.

This is one of the last toe rings I will make before I permanently close my workshop. I hope it finds an ankle that needs something quiet and real.
