Gabriella Budapest Copper Bracelet

There is a permanence in the river that never stops, smoothing everything it touches year after year. This feeling was in my mind as I intertwined these copper threads, over and over, achieving the same calm movement.

Each thread is hand-woven here, at my table, three lengths of copper wire connected with the same pliers I have used for years, then hand-finished at both ends. No two bracelets are exactly the same. The weaving always finds its own rhythm.

Roman soldiers took copper into battle. Artisans have worn it while working for centuries, long before anyone called it wellness. Men who work with their hands have always reached for it, and many still do.

I hope these bracelets find someone who appreciates the little things.
